Triumphs
If dreams were the way to mould our destiny, and was a prelude to bright things to come in life then Kosta “Gus” Sengos is already on his way to become one of the best players in the poker history.
Sengos was pitted against one of the best players in poker and has emerged triumphant by beating everybody on his way in the inaugural World Series of Poker Circuit Championship at the Horseshoe bluffs. He went home richer by $200,000 and an automatic entry into the World Series of Poker event that is to be held in Las Vegas. He will have a genuine chance to give his best shot to one of the world’s richest sporting event and can take home millions in prize money.
The recently graduated Sengos, who is a very avid golf follower, is very lucky in terms of his winnings, as he had invested almost nothing to get into the Circuit Championship. He had won a seat at the local Sioux Falls bar (that too without paying a buy-in).
He is supposed to have won $230,000, which includes the $10,000buy-in to the World Series of Poker and $1000 that can be spent out there. All this is part of the 11 Circuit Championships to be held all over the country. The game had intense action amalgamated with super suspense as Sengos went on to beat prolific players like T. J. Cloutier, Phil Gordon and Chris “Jesus” Ferguson among others.
In Sengos words, “I'm speechless,” Sengos said after winning. “I don't know what to say. It's absolutely amazing.”
Now, his eyes are all set on the huge pay packet that is up for grabs at the World Series of Poker, and considering the fact that the last winner took home Prize Money of $12 million; the battle seems to intensify and all players would try their best to reach the pinnacle of glory.
Looking at the kind of form that Sengos is in, he might well win the WSOP.
