J. C. Tran wins the World Poker Challenge

J. C. Tran has won the prestigious and final table of the World Poker Challenge, claiming prize money of $266,820. In addition to the prize money, he also won a bracelet and $25,000 seat into the World Poker Tour Championship, which is due to begin in April next year. May be an ideal Christmas gift for J. C. Tran. Since, winning this prestigious tourney would mean a lot, and this tournament victory also gives him a new hope. This high-status event took place at the Fontana Lounge in the luxurious Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. There were many people roaring to catch up the closing day’s action, and J C Tran has provided everyone with a fitting finale.

The $2,000 No-Limit Hold’em event number 7 was bound to turn some heads. Quality players across the globe gathered at this event to make it a successful one and have given the crown a good run for their money. Some of them include Barry Greenstein, tournament champion, J.C. Tran, Las Vegas tournament veteran Ken James, Men “The Master” Nguyen, David “The Dragon” Pham, and 2 time 2006 WPC final tablists Justin Bonomo and Englishman Peter Gould.

This tournament was never short of entertainment. There was continuous action throughout the tourney turned out to be even better with the crowd cheering time and again. J. C. Tran took just under 3 hours to knock down and delivered the killer punch. This was after crippling Pham in heads-up play where he raised before the flop with pocket 10s, and then Tran went all-in with A-K. And when the board awarded Tran top pair, it was timer for J.C. Tran to sneak the coveted event. He eventually went home with the title of official winner of the World Poker Challenge.
