The concept has taken two years of intensive planning and hard work to take shape. The team behind laying the foundation for this kind of project have been Liko Smith of Rogue Hospitality, Matt Savage, Jeff Brausch, and Kelly Flynn of the Division Poker and obviously Poker great Johnny Chan. The first of its branches is expected to be opening up in 2007 in Los Angeles County and many more locations are under consideration and developmental stages.
It is said that the management force behind the whole model is Rogue Hospitality, and according to Liko Smith, President of Rogue Hospitality, "We have a brand development process, a level of service and a genuine authenticity that no other management company can deliver."
He has also said, “5th Street is going to cater for poker players everywhere and set a new standard of service, quality, and game that you can't get online or in any casino in the U.S. today.” Johnny Chan has been very happy and instantaneous in taking the decision to promote the hotel that would outfit exclusively to Poker through his image.
The 5th street would cater the public with great service, comfort oriented rooms and one of the best Poker rooms in the world. The hotel along with its multi-million dollar poker rooms will feature monthly celebrity poker tournaments with great reverence to the game of Poker. It has been decided that the rooms would contain 70-inch plasma screens, in-room safes, 500 Watt custom sound systems, full service computers, fax machines and great Poker photographs, which will mesmerize the viewers all set to adorn the rooms.
