Pokerno wins the PokerStars Sunday Million |
Pokerno triumphs at the PokerStars Sunday Million Guaranteed Tournament. Though, the number of players went down a little bit comparatively to the last week. The entertainment was really high. This week’s prize pool amounted to $1,325,600 with the winner taking home nearly $185,000 as prize money.
Pokerno was pretty close at No.2 with $12.2 million chips. In contrast, Hafizzle was having the least stack at $2.4 million, and obviously was the first player to be eliminated by Luckeeseven who called and showed A 6. Slick followed Hafizzle with a big blind at $160,000 who raised $960,000 preflop, and Pokerno pushed all-in at $16.9 million from the big blind and showed pocket Queens for the lead. Soon many players were eliminated.
The remaining 4 players pause the tournament to discuss a deal. Janwillem111 was holding the chip lead and got the biggest guaranteed payout of the deal at $107,104. On the other hand, Pokerno was behind with $94,276. Bonvivant and Jkopp were assured with $79,124 and $70,074 respectively.
Later, Jkopp984 raised all-in preflop at $8 million and Bonvivant was quick to show pocket 10s, which wasn’t of much help, giving Jkopp984 some outs. The river spiked an ace for Jkopp984 to take down the pot finishing with $5.2 million.
Pokerno raised $1.8 million and Bonvivant was quick to push all-in. Pokerno called and showed pocket 9s. Then Bonvivant’s hopes were dashed when the board showed 5 2 2 7 6, finishing at 4th place.
Pokerno and Janwillem111 were going hand in hand, holding $25 million. Jkopp984 was standing 3rd at $16 million. Pokerno raised $3.2 million preflop and Janwillem111 pushed all-in. Then, Pokerno called and showed pocket 10s. Janwillem111 on the other hand was holding 6s, managing for 3rd position.
Pokerno was having a lead of $52.8 million to Jkopp984’s $13.5 million. Pokerno called from the small blind prompting Jkopp984 to raise $3.2 million. Then, Pokerno re-raised to $45 million prompting Jkopp984 to put all-in. The turn was 5 and the river was 4. That’s it, Pokerno won the tournament claiming - $124,276 as cash prize.
