Finale:
John Feeney spent much of his teenage years in Phoenix Arizona. He was a pass out from the University of Colorado. He then later moved to San Diego for pursuing his graduate course in the field of clinical psychology. For this purpose he came to California School of Professional Psychology. His thought of playing poker, initiated when he spotted a Hold’em game when he went to Las Vega and has attracted his attention. As a beginner, he went in the right way, by going through the books, literature, and also interacting with David Sklansky for polishing his poker knowledge. Just when he was about to complete his PhD, he was struggling to withdraw the attention on pokers. He later began to spend more time in the
card rooms of California rather in his psychology field. Eventually poker became his prime focus, and John often finds himself at higher limit games in Los Angeles. He has a flair for writing and devotes some time for it, when he is not as casinos. He also wrote some articles in Poker Digest, which received a good response, and is a regular participant in poker forms on the internet. His hobbies also include spending time with wife Nanci, along with 2 young daughters.
Poker is by no means is an easy game, and to become an expert in that, one need to sharpen the skills a lot. Some of the tips are like hand selection, forecasting, using common sense, positioning etc. Having said that, they are several players who have mastered these skills, but did miserably in the games. They can win only small pools and when the time comes, the bigger players would take away. There’s a big difference between theory and practice. As rightly said, winning poker involves a lot of judgment as well as a good positive approach towards the game. Hence this is all about the risk of playing too many hands, short handed play, the defining moments of Hold’em game etc. Those of you who are serious about your game should find much of this material to be extremely valuable.
