About Him

Wasicka initially used to work as a bartender and also as a restaurant manager before he stepped into the poker world. He was born in Dallas, Texas. But interestingly, he is now residing in Westminster where’s he very busy playing poker. He really is a very good poker player with admirable poker techniques. May be due to this reason, he is loved by all the people.

He owes all his talent to Mike Odeh who incidentally is also a professional and experienced poker player. He turned out to be a seasoned and full-fledged poker player only in the year 2006. He used to play at all the casinos and was enhancing his poker experience, but by the mid 2006, he became one of the reputed and famous players in the poker world. He also cashed out several winnings that year.

Even though Paul could not finish successfully at the WSOP Main Event, he still expresses his gratitude towards God, and is thankful for finishing at No.2 position. In an interview to one of the questions asked on his future plans, he replied saying that he plans to continue his poker career and develop his skills in the upcoming games.

Poker Career

Paul Wasicka was born in Dallas, Texas. But interestingly, he now is residing in Westminster where’s he very busy playing poker. He started playing poker extensively for the last 3 years. He is now considered as one of the best poker players. This 25-year-old from Dallas though started playing poker only a few years ago, he has already made a mark for himself in the poker world by winning 6 major tournaments including 4th place in a previous NHL Event held at WSOP.

Nicknamed as Kwick Fish, he said that he deem it a privilege to have been listen by the Bluff Magazine as a start player. Having said that, the Kwick Fish couldn’t move quickly during the final table. He was far away from getting mixed up in many instances and eventually including all the players were busted out of the event. He eventually ended up as runner-up to Jamie Gold at the 2006 WSOP Main Event and won cash prize of $6,000,000.

He was awarded $6,102,499 for winning 2nd place at the 2006 World Series of Poker Championship Main Event (WSOP). This win turned out to be his best ever win in terms of career prize money he has ever received. He also secured 12th place at the 2006 WSOP (30 Short-Handed NL Event) and bagged $38,126 prize money. Prior to this, he also finished at 16th place at the 2006 5 Star World Poker Classic where he claimed $25,700 as cash prize.
