Software and Graphics

Software and graphics
Pacific Poker used to employ one of the worst software in the industry, but now show remarkable difference from February 05. It mostly can be attributed to the easy games and great promotions. The software is slow with not so attractive graphics. What drives the high action at the tables is the fact that players are not allowed to play at more than one table at the time and so as more and more people cannot wait to play hands they join other tables. However, improvements are there for everyone to see. No-limit ring games were added, short-handed tables and note taking support was provided in 2005.   Signup Now

Games and Tournament Traffic Financial security
Most of the traffic at Pacific Poker is simply outstanding, with the only exception that it is been confined to only fixed limit Holdem ring games and Holdem tournaments The financial security here is watertight. Intersafe Global, which provides Credit Card processing services for Pacific Poker and Casino-on-Net, is a leading transaction provider processing millions of online transactions annually.

Brief review of Pacific Poker Room

Overview

Pacific Poker is considered to be the subsidiary of Cassava Enterprises Ltd, which owns and manages Casino-on-Net. This Casino-on-Net, which has been in operation since a decade, is one of the ancient and leading online casinos in the world. Since last year or so, Pacific Poker has witnessed excellent growth thereby becoming the most preferred poker room for several Texas Holdem players, who are very much looking forward for some good loose action tables as well as regular promotions.

Game Information

The website provides very comprehensive information for beginners and novices to learn. They support a full-fledged poker school where you can start with the very basic lessons and go on to become an expert. The content is easy and information starting from rules to strategy is readily available. They provide examples to help understand rules and strategy.  Signup Now

Competition

Pacific Poker holds the unique recognition of entertaining some very loose online players at the tables. If you succeed in protecting yourself against draws you can be sure of winning bundles of money. You can also expect yourself to run into hands that play every possible draw. The flop percentage is typically higher than normal, reaching a maximum of 85% view flop percentages at $15/$30 tables and in best case comes down to maybe 65-70%. The message is loud and clear that you should raise your strong hands more than usual to fizzle out the competition.

Fish

PacificPoker.com offers fish in huge numbers and the main reason is that there is a lot of crossover traffic from their casino. The table stakes seem to have little correlation with player skill. Thus, the players seem to be extremely inexperienced, and like to gamble at almost every opportunity.

Customer and Technical Support

When it comes to customer support, Pacific poker does not feature in the top league. Getting answers to your questions is not always a pleasant feeling. One good thing is that they provide both an email address, phone numbers, and live chat support. The support is fast and accurate, and once they authenticate your credentials they are very helpful when talking to you over the phone. Recently, they started providing live chat support. They also provide ample number of FAQ’s covering the game, strategy, software, support, contact numbers etc.

Promotions

The promotions at Pacific Poker are good and they offer $50,000 guaranteed prize pool tournaments each week. You can also win a seat to the World Series of Poker hosted by Pacific Poker. They are offering a $10,000 buy-in plus $2,500 in expenses for your travel and accommodation to the most prestigious event in international poker.

They also have an “Invite a Friend” in which as soon as your friend(s) opens an account and makes a deposit of at least $20, following fulfillment of their Ts & Cs, they will:

Furthermore, they also provide you to pay $10,000 buy-in plus $2500, for meeting your traveling and room expenditure, for the World Series of Poker event.

Cash-outs

Pacific Poker confirms all your payouts via an email and then usually payout within 48-72 hours. When it comes to initial payouts they are not very efficient but the parent company of Pacific Poker, 888, is financially stable and handles all requests efficiently.

Pacific Poker supports the following cash-out options:

Credit Card, Debit Card, FirePay, NETeller, PrePaidATM, Wire transfer, bank draft.

Deposit facility

Deposits are made easily via VISA, MasterCard, NETeller, Citadel, FirePay, Wire Transfer, bank transfer, PaySafeCard, BBL Home'Pay, check deposit, PrePaidATM, and many more.

Stakes

There are small limit tables starting from $5c/$10c and going to a maximum limit of $30/$60 in all games. The only exception is for 1-on-1 ring game, which has a limit of only $3/$6.

Rake

The rake at Pacific Poker is slightly on the higher side. And as usual, like any poker room has, pacific poker has also developed a generalization that it does not pursue the No Flop - No Drop practice, which senses that it does not rake the pot unless or until the flop is reached. Like most other sites Pacific Poker follows the policy of "No Flop - No Drop". This means that Pacific Poker only rakes the pot when the flop is reached. The rake for pots up to $1/$2 games is a maximum of $1.25. But the house takes less than $1 for below $1/$2 limit games, which gives a good value for low limit players. However, for $2/$4 and higher limit games, the rake is a maximum of $4 and increases to $5 on the $50-$100 tables.  Signup Now
