Software and Graphics

Needless to say, the software is customized and user-friendly. It is a shared network version of Prima Network. Though the software has been upgraded in 2003, the software still needs a lot of improvement to reach the heights of top poker rooms, but the newly added statistics dimension does not seem to support, as it does not count most or all of the hands a player does not play. The game is a lot slower than the average online, since the time is very loose. The effect has been that many players choose to play on several tables further slowing down the game.

Games and Tournament Traffic Financial security

Since there are only Sit & Go Tournaments, the traffic at Virtual City Poker is ordinary. Sooner, this scenario should be changed with the introduction of multi-tables and more game variants. At peak times, the tournament traffic reaches somewhere between 150 and 300 players.

Since, the parent company is well established. Obviously, there should be good security.

Advantages Disadvantages
  • Bad beat jackpot and high-hand bonus
  • Note taking support
  • Lobby info with players/flop and average pot
  • Telephone support
  • Clear overview over the entire betting sequence
  • Sub standard software (limited functionality and somewhat unstable)
  • No multi-table tournaments (coming soon)
  • No loyalty program
  • Statistic function is not working properly
  • No live table hosts
  • Often slow e-mail support

Brief review of Virtual City Poker

Overview

Being a part of Prima Poker Network, the Virtual Poker shares its player database. This has grown rapidly since its inception in 2002. The software was upgraded recently, but still gives the impression that a lot need to be improved. On the other hand, there are many very juicy and aggressive games. What’s good to see is that, this room is ideally suitable for both beginners who relish action as well as for the advanced players who constantly look for good revenues.

Promotions

Unlike others, Virtual City Poker does not include many promotions except the progressive bad beat jackpot for Holdem ring games. There is also a daily high-hand bonus.

Rake

Virtual City Poker’s rake is less attractive comparatively than the average. The pot- and no-limit is raked at every $5, which is good. The tournaments feature some entry fee, which would be around 10% or maximum up to $50.

Sign-up Bonus

This room guarantees a maximum bonus of $30 for its new players, which is awarded once either 100 raked hands are played, where you actually participate by betting. Players who haven’t received a sign-up bonus from any other Prima Poker Network room are only eligible for this bonus.

Support

Virtual City Poker has a very good e-mail support;however, this is often slow in responding.

Deposit Options

VISA, MasterCard, prepaid ATM, NETeller, FirePay, and Wire Transfer are some the deposit options available.
