Rank of Poker Hands

Rank of Poker hands are used to declare the winner of the game and also to break the tie among the player.

A deck consists of 52 cards of 4 different suits. The cards are ranked in the following decreasing order A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2.  There is no ranking for the suit of the cards, as all the 4 suits are given equal priority.

The most powerful poker hand is a royal flush. The poker hand generally used to split the pot is highest card in case no player has the dominating hand. Rank of group of cards is considered first and then the rank of individual cards if any tie. In case of tie, if the players have same poker hand ranking then the pot is split among those players.
