Interest in Poker
She was always interested in card games, but it was recently that she turned her attention to poker. The turning point came when she met her husband Michael who is a bookmaker and recreational poker player from Louisiana.
Sarah met Michael in Canberra in the year 2000, and the first talks they had was about poker. Michael told her about Texas Hold'em and Sarah had never heard about the game, which intrigued her thoroughly. Sarah drew all the courage she had in order to play her first ring game.
Spurred by her initial success, Sarah went on to play in a few small tournaments. During this time, she was working with the Australian Government and had other commitments to respect, which didn't let her much time for poker, but she managed to play poker every now and then.
However, in 2003, she moved to London with her husband and then she started to play poker on a regular basis. Currently, she is working on her thesis in international relations at the London School of Economics and has made poker as her hobby.
Poker Exploits
Sarah participated in her first WSOP Event in July 2005 and managed to securE 68th place out of 758 participants. This is no mean achievement considering the number of years she has put into poker. If her performance of WSOP is any indication, she is going to be a major force in poker very soon.
