About Him

Cunningham passed his civil engineering at UCLA. This simple and innocent guy used to enjoy poker at home with his family at the age of 12 and sooner he played better than anyone else in his family.

He entered to some online tournaments and casinos while studying at UCLA. At that time he had a deep fascination over the stories he heard about big tournaments with high-profiled players and millions of prize moneys. He was thrown aback when he played a couple of games. He wondered that many players picked up a lot of winnings in the beginning, make some more luck and then slow down to a mere level. This case never happened in his life as he always suffered some loss in the beginning, only to come out with flying colors only after trying harder.

He is quite happy to be one of the young player reaching great heights. That brings a revolution in the life of young poker players. By the time he won the title of “Best All-Around Player”, he then decided to put an end to his civil engineering program at ULCA. Yes, there he had in stored for him two World Series bracelets in subsequent year which finally put him into the final tables at WPT events.

His friends at UCLA University organized a poker ‘seminar’ which he presented, impressed Ivy-leaguers a lot. Allen remembers the way, he was praised there for what he has achieved which he used to think a silly, selfish practice. Thus, he made a big score at Yale University although dropped out at UCLA. That was like all his wishes came true.

Poker Career

Encouraged by his parents, he began to take poker very naturally and seriously. As recorded in and end of a tournament, he says: “I was waiting eagerly to grow up for this day to take on the real players in Las Vegas.” Initially he experienced some difficulties, but later was able to come to the terms and conditions. He has taken it seriously and he relished taking up the challenge with big players.

Poker player Allen occupied the 4th position in 39th annual World Series of Poker – No Limit Hold’em Championship Main Event on 10th Aug, 2006. This Former paperboy was born in Las Vegas, Nev. In 1999 Allen was awarded the title of “Best All-Around player” for winning six big tournaments at the Legends of Poker which was the biggest turning point in his life. He won four WSOP bracelets out of lot of tournaments played. The year 2005-06 has been the best period in his life as he won both 2005 WSOP - Event 2, $1,500 No-limit Hold’em and 2006 WSOP - Event 14, No-Limit Hold'em w/re-buys.
