There were quite a few interesting hands at WSOP 2006. It was full of action and entertainment to the max. The spectators have thoroughly enjoyed the show. Take a look at some of the interesting hands that were played at the WSOP 2006.
Daniel Negreanu
One more performer, constantly ran afoul of Daniel, Adam Joens, was involved in this hand. He held the "speed limit" hand:

This forced Angelil and Joens to check their respective ones. Daniel took the advantage of this chance and capitalized it to take a stab at the pot and bet $3,500 in tournament chips. Angelil again called. And then, finally, Joens folded to what was considered to be the best hand.
All this went well and indeed turned out to be a good move for Joens, as the turn of:

And gave Daniel a better pair.
Both the players left in the hand checked, and it was onto the River. The River came as:

.... and finally, Angelil responding to strong thought the time has come to act. So he bet $7,500 on a stone cold bluff. Then it took Daniel by surprise who laughed, ridiculed, looked at Angelil, and said "Well, you either have a monster or nada. I call." Angelil mucked his hand and muttered, "Good call." ESPN announcer Norman Chad at this point commented to his co-announcer, "Lon, remind me to take Daniel off the list for our home game next week." |
