Planters Nuts is dubbed to be reckoned as the official sponsor of the World Series of Poker and the “official nut” of poker’s biggest and most coveted event. This was announced by Harrah’s License Company, LLC, (a subsidiary of Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc.,) when it has entered into a multi-year agreement with Kraft Foods Global Inc.
Kraft Foods Global Inc., headquartered in U.S., is the one of the worldwide leaders in branded foods and beverages, and is having presence in more than 150 countries. Some of their brands include Kraft cheese, Nabisco cookies and crackers, Post cereals and Milka chocolates, Jacobs and Maxwell House coffees, etc.
Stephen Chriss, director consumer promotions, Kraft Foods, Inc. said: “The sponsorship is a great fit given that “the nuts” is a common poker phrase associated with having the best hand in any given situation.”
“We’re pleased to welcome Planters to the World Series of Poker family,” said Jeffrey Pollack, commissioner of the World Series of Poker. “When it comes to support from leading consumer product companies, now we really do have the nuts.”
“We are thrilled to partner with the WSOP and to help promote the natural occasion of poker and Planters,” Chriss said.
This sponsorship means a lot to Planters Nuts, as it may conduct few national promotions for seats to 2008 World Series of Poker. Further, it can even it can even host on-site sampling at the 2007 WSOP taking place at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, with its logo on the tables. During this event, it is also expected that iconic Mr. Peanut character would also make a special appearance.
