WSOP History 2006 - History and Winner Details

Jamie Gold is the winner of the 2006 WSOP with the biggest prize money. Initially, Wasicka was in big blind and then it was Gold who called. Later, Wasicka raised around 4 big blinds. Gold called and the flop turned was Q-8-5. Gold bets again on pre-flop raiser, leaves Wasicka thinking and to finally call, which sense that if he loses the hand, he might end up loosing the tournament. Much to the Wasicka’s disappointment, Gold was far ahead in the hand, and he had lots of chances of winning comparatively. All he required was one of the remaining 10s to show up, and when the last cards were handled, the river was an A and a 4 in a wide range of suits, which were not hearts.
